Unsmoked back bacon, 100% natural and nitrate-free
We've long wanted to offer 100% natural bacon alongside our range of chemical preservative-free sausages and now we're really pleased to be able to. This bacon is made using nothing but high welfare free-range pork cured with a simple sea salt and sugar rub. It contains no nitrates or chemical preservatives.
Because our natural bacon is cured without chemicals it can appear slightly less pink when cooked compared to nitrate-cured bacon. This is nothing to worry about, and has no effect on the flavour of the product - it's the chemical additives that give standard bacon it's bright pink colour.
Sold in multiples of 250g (average 6-8 rashers)
This product is supplied frozen. We make and pack our nitrate free bacon in small batches before slicing and freezing it. once delivered it can be returned to the freezer or allowed to defrost fully in the fridge before cooking. Once defrosted it should be stored in the fridge and cooked within 5 days. Any product made with our 100% natural bacon is perfectly safe to freeze.
