Pasture-fed sliced ox liver
Carefully trimmed and thinly sliced liver of 100% pasture-fed beef.
This nutrient-packed meat is perfect for pan-frying, stewing or even for making a deeply flavoured beef liver pâté. Because all our ox liver comes from slower grown, fully mature animals it has a darker colour and more robust flavour than calves liver. It can be soaked in milk for an hour or two to soften the flavour and texture prior to cooking.
Sold in 300g packs of thinly sliced strips.
We prepare and fresh-freeze our ox liver as soon as it arrives at the butchery. It is supplied as a frozen product that can either be returned to the freezer, or allowed to defrost in the fridge before cooking. Once defrosted it should be cooked within 3 days. Any meal prepared using the defrosted product is then perfectly safe to freeze.
