Pork rump steak

Thick-cut rind-on pork rump steaks.

This cut is great for a simple and easy to cook midweek meal, or as a barbecue steak. The rump, or chump as it was traditionally known, is packed with flavour. More marbled and less evenly textured than a pork loin steak the rump steak is ideal for slow cooking or for pan-frying and searing on the barbecue.

Sold in packs of 2 steaks. Each pack is 500g

This cut is supplied fresh-frozen. Once unpacked it can be returned straight to the freezer, or allowed to defrost thoroughly in the fridge before cooking. Once defrosted it should be treated as fresh and cooked within 5 days. Any dish cooked with the product is perfectly safe to refreeze.
