Hand of pork

Rarely seen these days this is a classic slow-cook bone-in pork joint from days gone by. The hand of free-range pork is cut from the lower part of the shoulder. It contains meat from the front leg, the fore-shank, and the thick end of the belly. It is a large hearty joint, perfect for a big gathering or a family roast. Best suited to long slow braising to allow the meat to tenderise and fall from the bone. The hand joint will comfortably feed 8-10 people

4kg minimum weight, bone-in

This product is carefully prepared from Sussex-farmed free-range pork before being fresh frozen. When unpacked it can be placed straight into the freezer or allowed to defrost fully in the fridge before cooking. Once defrosted it should be consumed within 5 days. Any meal cooked with this product is safe to refreeze.
