Truly free-range large chicken leg
Large free-range leg cut from our 81 day aged 'total freedom' slow-grown chicken.
All our chicken comes from the small family farm in Leicestershire. They use slower growing breeds and allow their birds access to 40 acres of farmland where they are able to scratch, forage and engage in natural behaviour. Their birds are reared in small flocks with access to naturally ventilated mobile housing and are given no antibiotics or growth hormones during their lifetime.
The dense brown meat of the leg is rich in flavour, moist and incredibly succulent. Perfect for roasting and keeping in the fridge to eat cold or cooked in a sauce to make a hearty and good value mid-week meal. These legs are also great marinated and barbecued.
Sold individually. Each leg averages 280g and makes a good serving for 1 person.
This product is supplied ‘fresh-frozen’. We pack and freeze our free-range chicken in small batches to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. After unpacking it can be returned straight to the freezer, or placed in the fridge and allowed to defrost thoroughly before cooking. Once defrosted it should be treated as fresh and cooked within 5 days. Any meal made with our frozen chicken is perfectly safe to freeze.
