Herdwick Mutton Butchery Course
Full-day mutton butchery masterclass.
This one-off special butchery course will give guests a fantastic opportunity to spend the day with us learning what makes mutton such a fantastic and sustainable meat.
At Garlic Wood Butchery we are lucky enough to work with the best local producers and these direct relationships gives us access to the finest conservation-grazed and regeneratively farmed livestock. For this course we will be working with Herdwick mutton farmed exclusively on the nature-reserves and rewilding projects of the National Trust in Sussex. Guests will explore the crucial role these native-breed sheep play in managing our protected habitats before spending the day learning how to butcher a full mutton carcass. As with all our courses guests will be given breakfast, a hearty lunch and will leave the day with a selection of produce to cook at home.
This one-off session is limited to a small group of 4 attendees to ensure that all guests enjoy a truly hands-on experience and leave with a unique set of new-found skills.
