Half-leg cider, honey & juniper gammon on the bone
The Christmas ultimate cold-cut. One of our home-cured cider, honey and juniper half-leg gammons will make a stunning centre-piece for any family meal. Perfect served glazed and studded with cloves before being sliced and accompanied by an autumn-fruits chutney. Guests will be sneaking back to snaffle slices long after the celebrations have finished!
We cure all our own gammon using high-welfare free-range pork farmed within a few miles of our butchery in the heart of the South Downs. We use our own traditional curing recipe of cider, honey, juniper berries and pickling spices to give the gammon a delicate sweetness.
Our half-leg bone-in gammons are 4kg each and will feed 9-10 people. Choose from fillet end or hock end. Please note all our gammons are sold uncooked (rather than as cooked hams).
This product is carefully cured and dry-aged using locally farmed free-range pork before being fresh-frozen to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Once your delivery arrives it can be placed straight into the freezer, or allowed to defrost thoroughly in the fridge before cooking. Large gammon joints should be given 24hrs to defrost.
