Pasture-fed beef flat-iron steak
230g flat-iron steak.
Flat-iron has become more and more popular in recent years as people become aware of its flavour. This steak is hidden away in the forequarter of the beef animal - sitting along one side of the shoulder blade as part of the muscle traditionally known as 'feather blade'. Trimmed and carefully prepped this steak comes in to its own - dense, packed with flavour and a fine-grained marbling. The flat-iron can be simply seasoned and seared before cooking as a piece. Allow to rest and then thinly slice to serve. Perfect with a simple sauce and hand-cut chips.
All our beef is sourced from farmers dedicated to producing high-welfare grass-fed beef of the best quality. We work with farmers who specialise in utilising our native beef breeds and are committed to farming in harmony with the environment. We dry-age all our beef on the bone prior to butchery and it is this combination of breed, diet and traditional dry-ageing that gives the beef its unrivalled flavour.
Our flat-iron steaks are cut in 230g average portions.
