Our Delivery and Collection Options
Free Delivery or Click & Collect
We offer our customers a choice of two ways to receive your Garlic Wood produce.
Free National Delivery
For all orders over £75 we deliver free of charge to all of the mainland UK using overnight chilled courier delivery service from DPD. Your order will be cut, vacuum-packed, labelled and prepared fresh ready for dispatch for you to freeze or use straight away. For any delivery order under £75 standard delivery is charged at £8.
Saturday Delivery
Home delivery on Saturday is available by selecting the Saturday option at the checkout. Due to the additional courier charge for this service there is an additional fee of £9.50 for Saturday delivery
Minimum order value
Due to the fixed cost of chilled home delivery this service is subject a minimum order value of £35. After a lot of consideration we have set is at this level in order to ensure we reduce our use of transport and courier services and to encourage less frequent, bulk ordering. For any customer wishing to order smaller quantities our click and collect service (see below) is available with no minimum order, and no delivery fee.
Butchery and dispatch timings
When you place an order and opt for home delivery you will have the option to choose your delivery date from the days shown on the drop-down menu. We offer delivery Wednesday to Saturday (with a surcharge applicable for Saturday deliveries).
When we receive your order we will prepare it for dispatch via our delivery partner, DPD, to arrive on your selected day. In exceptional circumstances the delivery may be pushed from an overnight to a 48hr delivery. All orders are packed with sufficient ice and insulation to ensure that they will remain chilled should this additional delivery day be required.
To receive an order in time for a specific event, party or meal we would recommend allowing an additional day for delivery (e.g. request your order as a Thursday delivery for an event planned on Friday).
Delivery details
We have partnered with DPD to offer an overnight chilled courier service for all home deliveries. Your order will leave our butchery and a notification will be sent to the mobile number/email supplied on your order to inform you it is on its way. On the day of delivery you will receive a message giving a 1hr delivery time slot.
Because your Garlic Wood goods are perishable DPD are under instruction never to take a package back to the depot. Should nobody be at home they will leave the parcel in a safe place. Specific instructions for the courier to follow in this event can be left in the notes box when placing your order (e.g. ‘leave in porch’).
All delivery orders are packaged using recyclable and compostable insulated materials. For more details on how we package your order, and what to do with the packaging please click here.
Click & Collect
Your Garlic Wood Butchery order can also be collected directly from us at our butchery in Partridge Green.
This service is available with no minimum order requirement or charge, so even if you just need a pack of mince or a few sausages simply opt for ‘local pickup’ when placing your order and come along and see us to collect. Our current business grew form its start in a traditional high street village butchers, so even though we’re online now we still love to see our customers and have a chat whilst handing over orders. Our unit is very easy to find and we have plenty of free parking right outside so collection couldn’t be more straightforward or convenient.
