Important information
Delivering a full product range and ensuring consistent availability
We are very pleased to be able to offer as close to our full product range as possible during these difficult times. All those involved at every stage of our local food production network are focused on ensuring consistent supply of high quality produce from the farm to us, and this allows us to offer our customers everything from the basic range of every day essentials right through to the more luxurious ‘treats’ that we all need so much right now! Whilst we are working tirelessly to ensure availablity of stock there is currently intense pressure on supplies from the farmers themselves so should items become temporarily unavailable they’ll be marked as ‘out of stock’ whilst supplies are renewed.
Health and hygiene
Like everyone we are constantly adapting in order to safely work within the constraints placed on us by the current situation. We are committed to ensuring that we can offer our customers an efficient, safe and high quality service. We are a 5-star rated food business with an absolute commitment to maintaining standards of hygiene, cleanliness and best practice. Whilst we do this at all times, we are redoubling our efforts and being especially vigilant at the current time.
Delivery or ‘click and collect’
Our normal collection and delivery service will continue to operate. We have, however, experienced a huge increased demand for home delivery versus collection. We’re working constantly to streamline the day-to-day operation of our business in order to facilitate more home deliveries and we’re proud of our promise to deliver every order in the week it is placed (see below for more details of our delivery guarantee).
Sadly some of our ‘click and collect’ partners have had to close or restrict there opening hours (those that are pubs, cafes etc). Whilst this temporarily reduces our range of pick-up points we are able to work around this by increasing our home delivery system and by making more use of the existing network of collection points.
Delivery Guarantee and online shop opening hours
At the moment we are unable to communicate directly with every customer regarding delivery days and times. However, we are guaranteeing all of our customers that every order placed will be delivered in the same week it has been ordered. Our online shop is currently opening from 7am Friday to 10pm Wednesday of the following week and we guarantee that any order placed during this period will be delivered by the end of Thursday of that week.
Our current shop opening hours of 7am Friday – 10pm Wednesday are determined by stock availability. We buy fresh produce every week direct from farmers and producers so in periods of peak demand when stock sells out we may close the website earlier than the stated time due to lack of available produce.
Price guarantee
We promise our customers that we will not increase the price of any our products during this time – regardless of demand. No ethical or morally decent business should be taking this situation as an opportunity for profiteering. If we are faced with price increases from our suppliers/farmers we promise that this will only be passed on to the extent that it allows us to maintain the real-terms ‘cost’ of the produce we are selling.
Supporting our community, our staff, and our food local producers
These are undoubtedly testing times. However, I believe it is crucial we make every effort to support our community by continuing to operate. By doing so we can provide our customers with high-quality food. I can commit to guaranteeing the continued employment of our small team of staff. We can support the network of small of independent food retailers who sell our produce or act as our ‘click and collect’ partners, and we can support the army of local farmers who will be continuing to work to put food on our tables over the coming months.
Your support is incredibly important to us and we thank you for choosing to buy from us.
