Core range of produce to ensure consistent availability
In order to ensure that we are able to maintain a consistent supply of produce for our customers we will temporarily be reducing our range of stock items to allow us to focus on always making sure we have the most important 'store-cupboard' essentials. By doing this we will be able to streamline our working processes and ensure that all orders can be quickly fulfilled. It will also allow us to better focus on the home delivery element of our business as more and more customers require us to bring produce to them.
This doesn't mean that we're only selling the 'basics'! At times like this more than ever we need the occasional treat, and these will definitely still be available.
This page contains the full range of products that will be available in our temporarily reduced range. There is currently a lot of pressure on supplies from the farmers themselves so should items become temporarily unavailable they'll be marked as 'out of stock' until supplies are renewed.
Health and hygiene
Like everyone we are adapting in order to safely work within the constraints placed on us by the current situation. We are committed to ensuring that we can offer our customers an efficient, safe and high quality service. We are a 5-star rated food business with an absolute commitment to maintaining standards of hygiene, cleanliness and best practice. Whilst we do this at all times, we are redoubling our efforts and being especially vigilant at the current time.
Delivery or 'click and collect'
Our normal collection and delivery service will continue to operate. We do, however, anticipate an increased demand for home delivery versus collection. Whilst we're working to streamline the day-to-day operation of the business in order to facilitate more home deliveries we'd ask that our customers bear with us during periods of peak demand. We'll communicate with all customers regarding timings of deliveries.
Sadly some of our 'click and collect' partners have had to close (those that are pubs, cafes etc). Whilst this temporarily reduces our range of pick-up points we're confident we can work around this by increasing our delivery system and by making more use of the existing network of collection points.
At the moment we are unable to communicate directly with every customer regarding delivery days and times. However, we are guaranteeing our customers that every order placed will be delivered in the same week as it has been ordered. Our online shop is currently opening from 5pm Saturday to 9am Wednesday - so any orders placed during that time are guaranteed to be delivered by the end of that week.
We promise our customers that we will not increase the price of any our products during this time - regardless of demand. No ethical or morally decent business should be taking this situation as an opportunity for profiteering. If we are faced with price increases from our suppliers/farmers we promise that this will only be passed on to the extent that it allows us to maintain the real-terms 'cost' of the produce we are selling.
Supporting our community, our staff, and our food local producers
These are undoubtedly testing times. However, I believe it is crucial we make every effort to support our community by continuing to operate. By doing so we can provide our customers with high-quality food. I can commit to guaranteeing the continued employment of our small team of staff. We can support the network of small of independent food retailers who sell our produce or act as our 'click and collect' partners, and we can support the army of local farmers who will be continuing to work to put food on our tables over the coming months.
Your support is incredibly important to us and we thank you for choosing to buy from us.
