At Garlic Wood Butchery we understand the importance of sharing good food with friends and family as we come together to celebrate Christmas.
Whether it’s the traditionally dry-aged free-range bronze turkeys we source from the same family farm each year, locally farmed pasture-fed beef, or one of our home-cured free-range cider honey and juniper gammons we guarantee that we will take the same attention to detail and commitment to welfare with our Christmas meat as we do with all the produce we supply throughout the year. When you buy from us you are guaranteed simple, high quality, traditional Christmas produce from the highest welfare sources, and with the minimum of stress and hassle.

How to place your order for Christmas
Our online shop is open and taking Christmas orders from October 20th
To place your Christmas order follow the simple steps below
- Browse our full range of products and add them to your basket. Where a product is only available for Christmas (for example Turkeys) a message will appear letting you know that ‘this product is only available to pre-order for Christmas’. These items can still be added to your basket and paid for at checkout.
- When your basket is complete head to our secure checkout page where you will be able to finalise your click and collect date or confirm your delivery date (see below for details on delivery and collection dates).
- Once you have checked out and payment has been processed you will receive an email confirmation from us with full details of your order and your order number.
‘Click and Collect’ your Christmas order
Orders can be collected from our butchery in Partridge Green between December 21st-24th*. Collection will be available between the hours of 8am-3pm on the 21st-23rd and then 8am to 1pm on December 24th
*We have easy access, free-parking on site and lots of space to allow for simple and stress-free collection.
UK mainland home delivery
Christmas orders will be dispatched via DPD for overnight delivery to arrive on the 21st or 22nd December. Your order will be carefully packed with ice in an insulated cardboard box (using sustainable wool insulation) and delivered direct to your door. When placing your order please ensure you include a mobile number for text delivery alerts, and use the notes box on the checkout page to let us know what to do in the event you’re not going to be in to take delivery. Will my order be fresh or frozen?
All our Christmas turkeys, turkey crowns and geese are supplied fresh, direct from the producer.
We now sell the majority of our standard stock as ‘fresh frozen’ in order to ensure availability and guarantee they reach our customers in the best possible quality. All items on the website are clearly labelled as either fresh or frozen within the individual product listings to help with planning and preparation times. Stock availability and order deadlines
We have long standing relationships with the small-scale independent farmers and suppliers who produce our Christmas meats. We have plenty of stock, but we do always experience high demand for many items so we recommend customers order early. Orders for turkeys, crowns and geese should be placed by 1st Dec to guarantee sizes (or while stocks last).
For all other items we can take orders right up until Christmas, but keep in mind some of our more popular products do tend to sell out quickly!

Learn the art of sausage-making with us on our half-day course. We’ll take you through the complete process starting with understanding what makes a good sausage through to learning about flavour combinations and then getting hands-on making and linking your own sausages.
